Janis Streetband
For me, Janis Streetband is a turning point in my journey as a painter. It is where I started to really analyse where the light is coming from and where shadows emerge. My usual darker, red and purple backgrounds dissappaer and make room for new things.
With this piece I got accepted in the Sooke Fine Arts Show 2021. My musicians were on display in the Arbutus Room. I was, and still am, very excited to have been a part of such a beautiful Show full of talent and imagination.
When you look at this colorful and diverse Quintett of excitement, I hope you’ll smile and maybe even tap your foot when the music hits your eyes.
